Justin Bucknell
Mr. Bucknell is a professional chartered engineer with over twenty years of personal experience providing consulting services to the energy industry. He has had technical and commercial responsibility for a wide variety of projects. His experience encompasses conceptual field development studies through front-end design to detailed design. He also has experience of fabrication, construction and installation activities. He has developed particular skills in the provision of technical assurance to major upstream development projects as well as in the area of life-cycle integrity management for energy related infrastructure.
Mr. Bucknell has developed innovative web-based software products that have been widely adopted by industry.
Justin has conceived, launched and successfully led a number of Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) developing technologies relating to civil & structural engineering and structural integrity management (SIM) and advanced engineering.
He has drafted International and National Standards as well as technical guidance notes for regulatory bodies in the US and UK.
Justin has extensive practical experience in many of the world's oil and gas producing regions including the United States, Europe, Latin America, West Africa, Middle East and the Far East.
Dr. Kaisheng Chen
Dr. Chen is a professional chartered engineer with over twenty five years of experience relating to the energy industry. He has had technical and commercial responsibility for a wide variety of projects. He specializes in structural design and analyses, structural reliability analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics, non-destructive evaluation of offshore structures / pipelines, strengthening modification and repair (SMR) of existing offshore installations and design of offshore structures.
He has been involved in various industry projects and has developed particular skills in the areas of structural design, structural integrity management (SIM), engineering critical assessment, advanced structural analysis to support offshore structural design projects. These skills have been developed through deep involvement and management on numbers of industrial projects, University lecturing and research work during studies for his three engineering degrees.
Kaisheng has been actively involved in a number of joint industry projects (JIPs) developing advanced technologies related to structural engineering for offshore oil and gas industry. He has also assisted in drafting International and National Standards for the offshore oil and gas industry.
He has extensive practical experience in many of the world's oil and gas producing regions including the United States, Europe, West Africa, Middle East and Far East.
Dr. Chen is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed by Texas Board of Professional Engineers, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the UK Engineering Council. He has published various papers in both international academic Journals and Conferences.
